How to Setup Trading Platform (MetaTrader)?

Watch our video guide on how to set up MetaTrader:

As with the Dashboard login, you get your username and password from your email, if you have already downloaded MetaTrader 4, just enter your account number and email and that's it. If you don't have your laptop/desktop in silent mode, a successful connection to MT4 is accompanied by a specific sound.

How to Set Up MetaTrader for iOS

If you download MT4 from AppStore/GooglePlay, there are pairs predefined by MT4. For adding our tickers, you have to make one simple action. If you download the PC version of MT4 from our webpage, all tickers are uploaded to the initial screen of MT4 by default.

How to proceed

  1. First click on "plus" and then you will see a list of instruments that are not added to MT after downloading it by default.
  2. From list of pairs or other instruments click on “green plus” for every pair/instrument with “_raw” identification
  3. You can see selected pair/instrument on your initial screen

Who Is Your Broker?

For Traders cooperates with Purple Trading Seychelles, which meets all regulatory requirements for trading on financial markets.

What Is the Server Time?

Summer server time: GTM+3, Winter server time GTM+2

What’s the Commission?

$5 per lot for forex, metal, commodities

$6 per trade for stocks

$0 per lot for indices & crypto

Will You Be Expanding the Range of Instruments?

We will be happy to expand our offer in the future, however, at this point we would like to ask you, our traders, to email us at support@fortraders.com, what other currency pair or financial instrument you would like to trade from our offer.

What Is the Spread?

We hope to make you happy and we offer the spread as Raw, i.e. the spread is not increased by any fee and it is a pure market spread.

Can or Must I Use a Stop-Loss? What Does It Mean?

Stop-loss is not mandatory and each trader can voluntarily decide whether to use stop-loss or not. In short, it is setting the price at which you want to sell an asset and setting it before the asset breaks that price. Working properly with stop-loss means that you can also work with risk and approach trades more analytically and less emotionally. On behalf of the For Traders team, we definitely recommend actively working with stop-losses.

What Platforms Can I Choose for Trading?

Currently we offer MT4 and MT5.

To download MetaTrader and learn about how to set it up for your trading, see this article.

What Does Floating Loss Mean?

It is the amount of unrealised loss (it can be the other way around, i.e. floating profit), which changes over time depending on the evolution of the price of the instrument. A floating loss is only a loss until you sell the instrument and it becomes a loss that is equal to the difference in price when you buy and when you sell.

How Does Cryptocurrency Trading Work with For Traders

Cryptocurrency trading operates as follows: Cryptocurrencies can be traded five days a week without restriction, that is from Monday 00:00 to Friday 23:30 server time (Summer server time: GTM+3, Winter server time GTM+2). There is a trading break over the weekend during which trading is not possible (open positions are not closed over the weekend, but it is not possible to modify them during the break).

What Is Slippage?

Slippage refers to the difference between the expected price of a trade and the price at which the trade is executed. Slippage can occur at any time but is most prevalent during periods of higher volatility when market orders are used. It can also occur when a large order is executed but there isn't enough volume at the chosen price to maintain the current spread.

What Is the Leverage?

For both Phases of the Challenge you have a leverage of 1/125 for Forex, 1/20 for Indices, 1/20 for Stocks, 1/40 for Commodities and 1/3 for Crypto.

Since you can keep the trade open at your discretion over the weekend and you can trade important news as well, the leverage for the Funded part is reduced to Forex 1/40, Indices 1/10, Stocks 1/20, Commodities 1/10, Crypto 1/2.

What Instruments Do You Offer?

You can find currency pairs, commodities, a selection of stock titles or crypto. You can find all of instruments on our instruments page.
